From God's Arms To My Arms To Yours.

This song as always made me and my babies adoptive mom cry!

When I first heard that song... it said exactly what I was feeling and I didn't feel alone any more.

It's a Baby not a choice

So my friend posted a bulletin on Myspace that made me think of this sweet baby to the left. This story made me sick and cry. Here it is:

FW:

If you're gonna act like an adult by having sex, then be prepared to handle the consequences. Think before you act.

Just reading this makes me sick to my stomach that a woman would do this to their child!

In September 1993, Brenda Pratt Shafer, a registered nurse with thirteen years of experience, was assigned by her nursing agency to an abortion clinic. Since Nurse Shafer considered herself "very pro-choice," she didn't think this assignment would be a problem.

She was wrong

This is what Nurse Shafer saw:

"I stood at the doctor's side and watched him perform a partial-birth abortion on a woman who was six months pregnant. The baby's heartbeat was clearly visible on the ultrasound screen. The doctor delivered the baby's body and arms, everything but his little head. The baby's body was moving. His little fingers were clasping together. He was kicking his feet. The doctor took a pair of scissors and inserted them into the back of the baby's head, and the baby's arms jerked out in a flinch, a startle reaction, like a baby does when he thinks that he might fall. Then the doctor opened the scissors up. Then he stuck the high-powered suction tube into the hole and sucked the baby's brains out. Now the baby was completely limp. I never went back to the clinic. But I am still haunted by the face of that little boy. It was the most perfect, angelic face I have ever seen.

But what about if the baby had been aborted at a younger age.. say 6 weeks? When the baby is this young, doctors use the Saline Method, where they inject a salty saline solution into the mother's womb. You would think it would just poison the baby, but it actually burns it to death. Even though the baby is so young, on ultrasounds of the abortion, the fetus is seen pulling away from the poison as it is injected.. obviously wanting to stay alive.(The baby is intelligent enough to move away from the pain..but the child can't escape it.

Think about that before you say that unborn children can't feel pain.

PASS THIS ON IF YOU BELIEVE ABORTION IS WRONG.

Life is life, no matter how small

A baby cries for it's first and last time when it's aborted
You can deny it, but its true.

A baby is a living thing

ITS A BABY, NOT A CHOICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Repost this with the title It's a Baby not a choice

So here are my thoughts. When I read stories like this one the face above comes into my head. Then how that face as grown in the past 11 years, in August. When I went threw this whole ordeal abortion was never an option for me. To be honest at 17 keeping the special spirit really was not on my mind either. The only thing I could think of was finding a special family for her. Which I believe in my heart I did.

This is her one year picture. She has always had such spunk. The father wanted me to have an abortion. Some people think it is ok if you have been raped. Well, I would disagree. I was date raped. I can not believe women get ride of their babies in such ways. More than that I can't believe people who go to school for so many years and call them self a doctor could actually preform basically murder and then go to sleep at night with out any guilt.

There are so many couples out there that want children but can't have them for one reason or another. I have members of my family with that problem.

As you can tell this is a touchy subject with me. I will get off my soap box now. I just wanted to put a face to this story for others.

School

I took this picture this morning in front of the school. Today we registered John for Kindergarten. He was pretty excited, if you couldn't tell. One more child is off to school this fall. It is weird to think that in a year all 4 kids will be in school, 2 more and it will be all day.

Thinking of that brings a bunch of concerns as far as Taylor goes. I just pray that with the therapy she is in right now she will be ready to go to school. They said today that if you felt like your child was not ready to keep them at home one more year. I am not worried about that as far as John goes. They said there are a few things that they need to know before they start school. How to count at least up to 5 but 10 would be better. At 3 John was counting to 15. They need to be able to look at 10 letters upper or lower case and tell the teacher what it is. Again no problem there. He has been doing that since last summer. Also they need to know the 4 basic shapes. Which again is no problem. The other day we where driving home and he points out the window and says "Mom, and octagon!" I said "Really where did you see that?" He said "The stop sign is one!" So I am really excited about John going into school. He will do great.

The Boys

Here are the boys. These 4 kittens are the second litter that we have. They are all boys. We call the all black one Midnight because he is so black. Also when you look close he has white hair here and there. Not a lot just one piece. So it is almost like stars.

This kitty we call Patch because he is the only one of the 4 that has the brown spot. And it is just in that one place. So Patch just fits him well. Marybeth actually stepped on this one a couple of weeks ago and we where really worried about him. But he is just fine now. Does not like kids that much but what do you expect.

We call these 2 the twins. The only way you can really tell them apart, well at least I can. Is that the one on the right purrs every time I pick him up. So he gets called Little Buddy a lot. Because all the kittens like us but he is really the only one that purrs for me.

We are planning on getting them all new homes very very soon. Willie and I are going to miss them bunches. But we can not keep 11 cats all together.

Doing the happy dance!

When you have a special needs child that learns and develops slower than the average child, you learn to celebrate every accomplishment. So the latest thing I have been trying to do is get Taylor to use the potty instead of going in her pants.

We did the pull up thing. Yea well she thought of those as diapers. So that did not work. Even with taking her to the potty for a long time and offering treats if she would even try to sit on the potty. That was a struggle in itself, just getting her to sit on the potty.

We have talked to her about it. Her Grandma asked her when she was going to start using the potty because big girls don't go in their pants. She said really snotty "I am not" then stuck out her tongue at Grandma. Also she got to where she would go potty in the pull up take it off throw it away then come to me for a new one. She would hold it as long as she could as well.

I have now said "enough" and put her in underwear. Which she has been using like a diaper as well. She has been creating a full load of laundry for me every day now for several weeks. Well every day it gets a little better. Today we had more success than accidents and that is why I am doing the happy dance. I am so excited for her, and me! NO MORE DIAPERS!!!

played with the kids and already paying for it.

So for Easter we decided to try something different. We don't give the kids a whole lot of candy. (I have candy from every major holiday since Halloween) We went to an Easter Egg Hunt and they got a lot of candy there, so we didn't want to buy any more. We decided that a trampoline would be a really neat family gift. Well there was some mix up and it turned out that at first we bought the netting that you put up around the trampoline to keep the kids from falling off. So I ordered the actual trampoline Easter Sunday and it came in about a week ago.

There has been some pretty bad weather the past week. I actually found out that if you don't like the weather you can wait a few minutes and it will change to some thing else. Anyway today one of Willie's buddies came over and helped him put it together.

The minute it was finished the kids where ready to go. They all got on and had a blast. After they played for a little while I went out there and decided that I would get up there and play with the kids.

(Marybeth got some air that jump.)

By the time I got off the trampoline I was already feeling it in my legs. I was only on there for about 30 minutes tops. Tonight the back of my legs HURT! Not really looking forward to how they will feel tomorrow. But it was fun being with the kids. We sat and talked about the dreaded "Rules" that had to be followed. We also found out how fun Ring around the Rosie's can be on a trampoline. That was Taylor's favorite thing to do while I was there with them. An even nicer thing is that it did not take any of the kids long to fall asleep tonight.

Sweetie's litter

Here are some good pictures of the oldest 4 kittens. All of the kittens are really playful. All 4 of this litters kittens are female. The other litter are all male.

The kitty on the left Daisy and her friend call Sparkle. The kitty on the right I started calling Taz because she is so crazy. The other day she ran from one side of our bed to the other and knocked her mom off the bed. She keeps us laughing.
We have been calling this one Fluffy. She is a lot like Taz the 2 gray ones are the wildest. They are the curtain climbers so to speak.

We have been calling this one Rotty because she looked like one when she was born. When they where just a few hours old. Sweetie had one under the bed with her, 2 in our closet and this one was at the end of our bed on the floor crying. When Willie picked her up it started calling her Rotty and it stuck.

Willie and I have now had about 4 litters of kittens in the house, and I had several when I was a kid. We have not gotten as attached to any set as much as the 8 we have now. They are all so cute and as soon as Willie or I walk in the room they come running. We have had to kick them all out of our room at night because we will wake up in the middle of the night to either them playing with our fingers or 6 or more sleeping on the bed with us. We know we can't keep any of them which is a good thing because I don't think we could actually pick just one to keep. Matter of fact at the moment I have one sleeping on my lap. While I am working on the computer or playing a game I will have at least one if not more on my lap.
